MangoPOS now integrates directly with Yoco, South Africa's most popular card payment solution. This means you can run your full restaurant or bar POS through MangoPOS — table management, kitchen display, cashup, stock control — and process card payments through your existing Yoco card machine. Two products that were already trusted separately are now working together in one seamless hospitality workflow.

What the MangoPOS + Yoco integration actually does

When a customer is ready to pay, MangoPOS sends the bill total directly to your Yoco card machine. The customer taps, swipes, or inserts their card on the Yoco device. Once approved, MangoPOS records the payment automatically — no manual entry, no double-keying the amount, no mismatch risk. The payment appears in your MangoPOS shift report alongside cash and other payment types, giving you a single reconciliation view at cashup.

Why this matters for South African restaurants and bars

Most South African hospitality venues already own a Yoco card machine or have staff familiar with Yoco. What Yoco devices are compatible?

The MangoPOS + Yoco integration is compatible with the Yoco Neo, Yoco Neo Touch, and Yoco Khumo. These are the three main Yoco smart card machines currently available in South Africa. The integration works over your local WiFi network — both your MangoPOS device and your Yoco card machine need to be on the same network. Yoco card readers (the basic dongle model) are not compatible with the integration since they don't have network connectivity.

Yoco fees + MangoPOS fees: the combined cost

Yoco charges a transaction fee per card swipe (currently around 2.6–2.95% depending on your plan and card type). MangoPOS charges up to 0.85% per transaction with no monthly software fee. When running together, you're paying Yoco's card fee and MangoPOS's POS fee — but no monthly software subscription. For a restaurant doing R80,000/month in card sales, this is often still cheaper than a traditional POS subscription plus a card gateway, especially when you factor in that slow months cost proportionally less.

Does the Yoco integration work offline during load shedding?
